Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)

Here are some FAQ's about ordering from CustomLineupCards.com.

1.  Do I have to design the cards?

       NO, you provide me with the information you want on your cards and I design the cards.  

2.  How many changes will you allow me to make during design process?

       Actually, you can request as many changes as you like.  Most customers approve the design with 2 changes or less, many on the first proof.

3.  Can I design the cards if I want to?

       You are welcome to provide me with your own design if you wish.  The image should be 5.5" x 8.5".  There needs to be at least a 1/4 inch bleed on all sides, in other words, no printing within 1/4 inch of the edges.  You can submit the design as a .jpg, .png, or .pdf file.

4.  Our logo is in color, but we ordered the b&w print cards.  Is that ok?

       Yes, most logos print fine in gray scale.  In come cases I invert the color scheme so the logo shows up better.

5.  What logos work best?

       If the logo has clear contrast of colors, or shades, that is best.  Logos that are all black, such as a panther for example, sometimes cause print issues.  If I think a logo will present a problem, I will address that with you when I submit the proof to you.

6.  If I want the logo on top of the cards, is that ok?

       Yes, that is fine.  Logos in the title block will not be faded as they are in the middle of the cards.  Some teams even have me do both the logo on top and the watermark in the middle of the cards.

7.  What if my roster or coaching staff changes after I order the cards?

       It is not uncommon for a team to have a member quit or add a player.  As is "Murphy's Law" sometimes that happens after you approved the proof for printing.  If I have not yet printed the cards, there is no charge for the changes.  If I have printed the cards but have not mailed them yet, you must reorder the cards, but I will give you a 25% discount on the new order.  If I have printed and mailed the cards, you must reorder the cards.  However, if you reorder within 15 days of the original order, I will give you a 10% discount on the new order.

8.  I want to order cards, but my season starts next week.  Will I get the cards in time?

       Of course, I cannot guarantee shipping times.  I usually have a proof emailed to you by the next business day.  Once you approve the proof, the cards are printed and mailed.  Most orders go out within 2 business days of placing the order.  Priority Mail shipping usually arrives in 2 - 3 days.  You can also choose to have me mail the cards via USPS Priority Express.  Email me if you think you want Priority Express.  I will check the rate for the quanity you want and let you know what the extra cost will be.  If you have your own shipping account, you can provide the label as well.  In all cases, I try to get the cards out to you as quickly as possible.
